1. Who We Are
Piko Labs AI, Inc. ("Piko", "we", "us") operates the website at pikolabs.ai (the "Website"). This Website Privacy Policy (this "Privacy Policy") tells you which personal data we collect through the Website, why we collect it, who receives it, and which rights you have. Piko is the controller of this personal data.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to visits to the Website and to the demo request form on the Website.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the Piko platform. The platform is available only to invited customers after a demo and a signed agreement. A separate agreement and a separate privacy notice govern the platform and the data that customers give us to process.
Do not send insurance documents or other files through the demo request form.
3. Personal Data We Collect
- Demo requests. When you use the demo request form, you give us your name, your company name, your work email address and, if you write one, a message.
- Email and other contact. When you email us or speak with us, we receive your contact details and the content of your message.
- Technical data. When you visit the Website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, your browser and device type, and the page that you ask for. The provider needs this data to deliver the page and to protect the Website against attacks.
- Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect data about how you use the Website, as Section 4 describes.
5. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:
- reply to your demo request and arrange a demo;
- manage the business relationship that follows from your request;
- operate the Website and keep it secure;
- learn how visitors use the Website, if you accept analytics cookies; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
6. Legal Bases
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") applies, we rely on these legal bases:
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): to reply to business enquiries, to manage business relationships, and to keep the Website secure.
- Steps before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): where you ask us for a demo on behalf of your organization.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): for analytics cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): where a law requires us to keep or disclose personal data.
7. Who Receives Personal Data
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Website, runs the demo request form, and protects the Website;
- Postmark, which delivers each demo request to our team as an email;
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies;
- the providers of our email and business systems;
- our professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors, and accountants;
- government authorities and courts, where the law requires us to disclose personal data; and
- a buyer or a possible buyer of all or part of our business, as part of a sale, merger, or similar transaction.
8. International Transfers
Piko is a United States company. Our team works in the United States, Serbia, and Poland. Cloudflare operates a global network, so a data center near you can process your visit. Google can process analytics data in the United States. Your personal data can therefore go to countries outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") and the United Kingdom.
When we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the United Kingdom to a country without an adequacy decision, we use the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, or another safeguard that Article 46 GDPR permits. Contact us for more information about these safeguards.
9. How Long We Keep Personal Data
- Demo requests and emails. We keep them for 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Analytics data. Google Analytics keeps it for 14 months. The cookies on your device expire after two years, unless you delete them first.
We keep personal data for longer only when a law requires it, or when we need it to make or defend a legal claim. When a period ends, we delete the personal data or make it anonymous.
10. Security
The Website uses HTTPS for all traffic. We use technical and organizational measures that are appropriate to the risk to protect personal data against loss and unauthorized access.
11. Your Rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us to:
- confirm that we process your personal data, and give you a copy of it;
- correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your personal data;
- restrict how we use your personal data; and
- send your personal data to you or to another organization in a machine-readable format.
You can also object to processing that relies on our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.
To use these rights, email [email protected]. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We reply within the time that the law sets. Under the GDPR, this time is one month, and we can extend it for complex requests.
If you think that we did not respect your privacy, contact us first. You can also make a complaint to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
12. Changes to This Policy
We can change this Privacy Policy when our practices or the law change. We will publish each new version on this page and change the date at the top.
